Dr. Roxanne Levinson is a native of Smyrna, Georgia and was educated in Cobb county public schools.  She attended Georgia State University and University Of Georgia where she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 1983. She owned and operated ARKLE Veterinary Care as a House Call practice until 2000, when she purchased Companion Animal Hospital and it became what you now know as ARKLE Veterinary Care.

Dr. Levinson is a Member Practitioner of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and a member of American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Cornel Feline Health Center, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA), Greater Atlanta Veterinary Medical Association (GAVMA), and is a Past-President of the Cobb County Veterinary Medical Society (CCVMS). She has special interests in dermatology, feline and behavior medicine.

Her family consists of a husband named Jim and for many, many years a spoiled cat named Capone (see photo) . Until December 17, 2009, most of Dr. Levinson's spare time involved catering to Capone's every whim, except when he graciously permitted her time for reading, cooking and bowling.  She is currently receiving additional continuing education for CCE (Certified Cat Slave) with her new bosses, Sadie, a grey Siamese mixed cat and Goldie, aka "Surfer Dude", a beautiful longhaired orange tabby. Dr. Levinson also enjoys speaking to elementary school classes about veterinary medicine and animal care.
