Pets and people share a very special bond. Research has shown that the human-animal bond can have a positive impact on our overall health. It is our mission to keep your pet as healthy as possible for as long as possible. By partnering with you in your pet's healthcare, we can help strengthen and preserve the bond between you and your pet.
Our staff is committed to providing you and your pet with a positive, low stress experience during every visit. From phone calls to check-outs, you will be greeted by warm, friendly staff members that will assist you with your pet's healthcare needs.
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update
With the recent developments with COVID-19 (coronavirus), we are implementing our plan to help protect our clients and our staff. This plan may be updated as the changing environment surrounding the COVID-19 Virus. If there are any changes, we will update our clients via email and social media.
As of date, there has been no evidence that pets are able to transmit the virus back and forth with humans. The primary route of transmission is through airborne particles such as coughing and sneezing. Surface contamination is another mode of transmission. ARKLE will continue to operate normal business hours so that your pet can still receive the care they need.
Our staff has always been diligent about washing their hands. Our goal has always been minimizing the transmission of bacteria, virus and fungus that cause illness in pets and people. In addition to the veterinary grade disinfectant that we use daily to kill contagions that most commonly affect our pets, we added a system to reduce contagions that mostly commonly affect humans. This system works 24/7 through our HVAC (air) system. It reaches all surfaces, even those that are hard to reach. Over the past year, we have seen a reduction in the number of bacteria, virus and fungus on surface areas throughout the clinic. We will continue our efforts to provide a clean environment for you and your pets.
Pet Appointments and Surgery
While all of us follow recommendations from the CDC and other human medical professionals to help slow the spread of COVID-19, we don’t want any pets to go without veterinary care. As of date, we will continue to operate during normal business hours. However, if you are concerned about limiting your exposure, have possibly been exposed, or have undiagnosed symptoms please ask us about special options that are available.
We are implementing pet-only "curb-side" appointments. You arrive at your scheduled appointment time and call upon arrival. A staff member will come get your fur-baby from your vehicle. All communication will be via telephone, including but not limited to: payment, pet history, recommendations from our doctors, and treatment plans. Once your fur-babies services are complete, a staff member will bring your fur-baby and any needed medications or food to your vehicle. This policy will stay in place until further notice.
We do have several options available to contact us:
You can text or call us at 770-435-6700
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Currently we have not had issues with getting most medications. If you need to pick up medications or food, please give the clinic a call. All payments will be processed through the phone. When you arrive to pick up the medications or food, please call us and we can bring the medications or food out to your vehicle. There may be future problems with medication supplies. We will be monitoring the situation.
If you are purchasing your pet's medication from a human pharmacy and would like to avoid going there, please call us. We may be able to provide those medications to you either from the clinic or through our online store. If you are not currently using our online pharmacy and would like to, we can assist you in setting that up.
Our online pharmacy has informed us that they are working directly with manufacturers and distributors to minimize the impact of any potential disruption to their supply.
Our goal at ARKLE Veterinary Care is to help ensure that your pet can still receive the care they need.
